Preparation begins the moment you book. Consultations at Plastic Rejuvenation Medical are complimentary and can be completed in person or virtually.
After scheduling, you’ll receive an invitation to our patient portal to complete your medical history, surgical history, family history, and provide a list of current medications. Medical clearance confirming healthy bloodwork is required before surgery.

Expect swelling and bruising during the first week – this is normal and peaks around days two to four. A compression garment or dressing supports the new contour and reduces swelling, and pain medication is prescribed to manage discomfort.
Most patients feel comfortable returning to desk work and light activity within 1-2 weeks. Bruising typically fades by weeks two to three. Strenuous exercise is generally resumed around four to six weeks, per your surgeon’s clearance.
Patients who choose the awake technique often report a smoother, faster early recovery without the grogginess of general anesthesia.
Avoid heavy lifting, bending, straining, and vigorous exercise early on.

Results are long-lasting, typically enduring 10 to 15 years. Genetics, lifestyle, and skincare all influence longevity.
Incisions are placed behind the ears and in natural creases beneath the chin. Our surgeons use advanced methods to ensure minimal scarring, and lines continue to fade over the first year.
For many patients, yes. The “awake” local anesthesia technique avoids general anesthesia entirely. Your surgeon will confirm whether you’re a candidate.
Most patients return to desk work and non-strenuous activity within one to two weeks. Full recovery, with swelling resolved and final results visible, takes several months.
No. A neck lift targets the neck and jawline; a facelift addresses the mid-face and jowls. Many patients combine both.
