Results can be subtle, balanced, and true to your features – refreshed, not overdone
Use injectables as a stand-alone refresh, a complement to surgical or body-contouring plans, or maintenance after a procedure
Plans start with open communication, meticulous attention to detail, and your anatomy and goals – not a one-size-fits-all appointment
These popular injectables, including BOTOX®, soften dynamic wrinkles and fine lines by temporarily relaxing specific facial muscles.
Most often used on the forehead, glabella (“11” lines between the brows), and crow’s feet
May also be used, when appropriate, for a gummy smile, chin dimpling, neck bands, or a subtle brow lift
Results typically begin within several days and settle over about two weeks
Help prevent new wrinkles from forming while smoothing existing ones
Composed primarily of hyaluronic acid, dermal fillers like JUVÉDERM® and Restylane® restore lost volume and are reversible with an enzyme if adjustment is ever needed. They provide immediate results, and more than one gel may be used in the same visit to match each region of the face.
Common areas: cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, lips, under-eye hollows, temples, chin, and jawline
Also used to plump lips, enhance cheekbones, fill deep folds, and improve facial contours
Softer gels may suit the lips; more robust gels may define the jaw
Many of the most natural outcomes combine categories, so the face reads as harmonious from every angle.
You remain awake and able to talk with your provider throughout. A focused neuromodulator visit is typically measured in minutes; a typical session often lasts 15 to 30 minutes, and longer when multiple filler areas are treated.
Treatment areas are cleansed
A topical numbing cream may be applied, particularly for the lips
Injection points may be marked while you raise your brows, smile, or clench
A very fine needle – or, for certain filler planes, a cannula – delivers product with a pinch, pressure, or brief sting; ice or vibration can be used for comfort
Many products contain lidocaine (a local anesthetic) to enhance comfort
During filler, your provider may pause to massage, have you sit up, or check symmetry with you in a mirror
Afterward, you may see small raised bumps, redness, or tiny marks that usually settle quickly; most patients drive themselves home

You can generally resume most normal activities immediately. Recovery is usually measured in hours and days, not weeks.
Avoid rubbing or massaging the area unless instructed; stay upright for several hours after neuromodulator treatment when advised
Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, saunas, very hot yoga, and alcohol for 24–48 hours
Expect mild redness, swelling, bruising, or tenderness that typically fades within a few hours to a few days; lip swelling can peak the next day (24–72 hours)
Arnica, cool compresses, and sleeping with your head slightly elevated can help; makeup can often be worn after several hours if the skin is intact, applied gently
Avoid facials, microdermabrasion, laser, strong facial pressure, and certain massage pillows until cleared; dental work is sometimes postponed briefly after lip or midface filler
Contact our office for increasing pain, blanching, a dusky color change, vision changes, or swelling that worsens
Some patients enjoy a slightly longer interval after consistent cycles, as muscles contract less forcefully
Some advanced fillers offer results for up to two years
Cheek and jawline gels can last nine to eighteen months or more
Optimal results come from the right product in the right plane, in the right amount, for your face – and from patience while that result declares itself. Live with the first treatment before you judge it: neuromodulators need time to take full effect, and fillers need time for swelling to leave.

Injectables are designed for adults who want noticeable yet natural improvement in lines, volume, or contour and prefer a non-surgical path. Candidates should be in good general health, have realistic expectations, and understand that injectables refine – they do not stop aging, duplicate a surgical lift, or last without maintenance.
Injectables may not be the first recommendation if you have certain neuromuscular conditions, active infection in the treatment area, or known allergies to product components. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are typically reasons to postpone. Disclose a history of cold sores, prior filler, or medications that affect bleeding.

Injectable treatments are generally considered safe when performed by experienced, qualified medical professionals who understand facial anatomy. At Plastic Rejuvenation Medical, our skilled providers prioritize patient safety; all potential risks and side effects are reviewed during your consultation.
Less common effects include asymmetry as swelling resolves, a heavy brow, a small filler lump that may need massage or dissolution, and temporary eyelid droop. Fillers carry a rare risk of vascular occlusion. Sudden blanching, severe pain, or livedo-like color changes should be reported immediately. Allergic reactions, infection, and migration are uncommon when the product, plane, and aftercare are correct.
Flexible financing solutions include Cherry, CareCredit, Alphaeon, PatientFi, and related partners, plus convenient monthly payment plans – often with no required upfront cost on approved plans, competitive rates, affordable interest, and quick pre-qualification.
Customized treatment plans are tailored to your facial anatomy, aesthetic goals, and lifestyle so results enhance your natural features. The same team that performs complex body and facial surgery – including facelifts, neck procedures, and eyelid surgery – will say so honestly if injectables are enough, if they are only the beginning, or if laxity would be better served by surgery.
